Polopiryna Complex is an over-the-counter medicine in powder form for preparing an oral solution. It contains three active ingredients: acetylsalicylic acid, phenylephrine and chlorphenamine. Contraindications

Do not use Polopiryna Complex if:

• You are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid, phenylephrine, chlorphenamine or any ingredient of the medicine.
• You have previously experienced allergic reactions to other NSAIDs.
• You have an active stomach or duodenal ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding.
• You have severe liver, kidney or heart failure.
• You have a blood-clotting disorder or are taking anticoagulants.
• You have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
• You are taking methotrexate at doses of 15 mg per week or more.
• You are under 16 years of age.

• You have diabetes, closed-angle glaucoma, hyperthyroidism or prostate enlargement.
• You are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), or have stopped MAOI treatment within the previous 14 days.

Warnings

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Do not combine with other cold and flu medicines containing the same active ingredients.
• Avoid alcohol during treatment.
• The medicine may cause drowsiness, sedation, dizziness and blurred vision. Avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.
